The afternoon includes picture book, MG/YA and illustration workshops as well as an editor/agent panel tailored to questions sent when you register. We also provide a designated quiet room for writing, sketching or just relaxing. Saturday Dinner With Faculty ($70 SCBWI members / $95 Non-SCBWI Members) When you sign up for Saturday you have the opportunity to attend an intimate dinner with editors, agents, art designers and author/illustrators.   Author/Illustrator Critiques ($50 SCBWI Members / $60 Non-SCBWI Members) *New this year, available to both Saturday and full weekend attendees:  Here's your chance to receive a manuscript critique or a portfolio review with a published author or illustrator! Take advantage of this opportunity to gain suggestions for moving your manuscript or dummies/portfolio to the next level. SCBWI authors/illustrators are notorious for their generous spirit and insightful comments. Don't miss out! Note: If you sign up for a manuscript critique you must upload your manuscript when you register.    Art Designer Critiques ($65 SCBWI Members / $75 Non-SCBWI Members) *New this year, Available to both Saturday and full weekend attendees. Here is your chance to receive a 15-minute one-on-one portfolio/dummy critique with an Art Designer from Little Brown or Scholastic. This is a great opportunity for those signing up for the Sunday writer's day events but want feedback on a dummy or portfolio. For those already signing up for the Sunday Illustrator events this is also a great opportunity to receive feedback on multiple dummies or portfolio work. Sunday $285 SCBWI Members / $325 Non-SCBWI Members (includes free registration for Saturday Craft Day) Note: If you sign up for the Sunday Writer's Day, you must upload your manuscript when you register.   Writers Day Enjoy the benefits of our Sunday opening editor/agent panel, participate in a first-page session, gain feedback in a one-on-one manuscript critique (scheduled on Saturday) with an assigned editor/agent and ... Propel your writing with our 2-hour round table session where you share 500 words with an assigned editor or agent and other peers in a group setting.  *Note: All critiques are scheduled on Saturday so Sunday attendees must attend the Saturday portion to receive your critique. Illustrators Day Show and discuss your pre-assigned illustration project in a group setting with two art designers from Little Brown and Scholastic. The intensive also includes artwork display and promo card display. If you have done it before, it can be difficult to figure out how to book more speaking engagements. If you've never done it before, it can be a daunting thought to create and conduct a workshop or school visit presentation. This workshop will take you through the essentials of your school-visit toolbox, from advertising to execution.   Register early to make sure you get a spot!
